Hotel Ushuaia

... were in the front on top so there was no one in front of us. You have your own TV with a bunch of movies playing. They serve you snacks, dinner, breakfast, whiskey, champagne, whatever you want!. We were actually able to sleep a decent amount during the night. I would recommend it if you have the time and you want to save some cash. If you are short on time you should fly (but not LAN!), but this is a good alternative - itīs cheaper than a plane and you donīt have to pay for a hotel for that ...

... not wear off, especially when you are stood looking at a view over the ocean and surrounded by nothing but snow and eerie silence. While we were there we also visited Parque Nacional Tierra Del Fuego (Land of Fire) and did not regret visiting in Autumn - the colours of the leaves were truly spectacular. ... blue lake cave. The water was this gorgeous blue colour (and hence the creative name) Unfortunately we weren't allowed to go swimming in it due to the aquatic life. It was definitely worth a couple of happy snaps. Our next destination after Bonito was Iguazu falls.. both the Brazil and Argentina sides. The next islet was a small (disused) lighthouse, known to have been an inspiration for the novel Moby Dick. Finally we came to the islet of Magellanic penguins - which are a delight to watch as they hoddle along, and dip into the beach water. As we might expect from the Galapagos, these creatures have no fear of us humans, so our catamaran literally shored ...

... Even though the queue moved quickly, after we received our boarding passes, paid our exit tax, and then went upstairs, through security, we found that the flight was already boarding.



Once on board, I sensed a degree of dissatisfaction in the air, some slight irritation, but I could not understand the rapidly spoken Spanish well enough to figure out what was going on. Eventually, however, I came to suss that we were being sent to Aeroparque Jorge Newberry instead of EZE ...

Zo, he he, net effe lekker de verwarming op de kamer aangezet.
