      Good basic hotel small but adequate bathroom, very close to the station, which has a number of restaurants

      We had an earliesh breakfast at about 6.45am. We didn't have to be at the station till about 8.30am but Owen said to be there 15 minutes earlier. Anyway, we checked out of this very nice Sheraton Hotel and got to the station by 7.45am. There were a few from the tour already there.

      ... t seem to fancy.

      We felt very privileged and were treated very well in the ryokans, I'll miss Japan.

      We also enjoyed the 7 samurai home village, with bonsai and the intriguing kanakasi airplane fighters museum with photos of all of them. They looked so young and an old man giving a talk about it, still a lot of interest, after all these decades. No photos allowed.

      ... lot of agriculture on the island and it's famous in Japan for giant turnips and mandarins amongst other vegetables. We have a couple of stops but where there is a photo opportunity the bus driver stops or slows down so we can get photos. The last stop is a lava park. It's quite incredible.
