Island in the middle of a Lake: Bled
... but our guide snuck us in and we found out it wasn't just closed because it was an off season but because parts of the bridge was broken!! We walked on broken boards and missing railing for a little bit of the hike along the gorge. All of this combined with it being slippery was really dangerous but no one got hurt and I am so glad we did it!

Summer Toboggan
... off round a few bends. Then had time for a drink at the bottom of the slopes in the crisp sunshine before setting off for the airport.
Stopped briefly on the way at Bled for a last wander round the lake and a last bit of cake! Once we reached the airport we had a little picnic on the grass outside, where I'm sure I saw a rat/vole thing, before checking in and jetting home.

Mountain Hike
... get down would be to pretend I was a bike. So, with that I raced off tearing down the track running up the banks and jumping over the mounded jumps. Yeehaa! Then in a particularly good run I hit an exceptional patch of mud and became bambi. Everything was in slow motion as I slid for a good 2 metres flailing my arms before the inevitable happened and I landed face down in the thick slimey mud. If only we had filmed ...
Kranjska Gora Hike
... a bit and ended up off-roading up an old dried up river bed, scrambling and crawling over the rocks. After some time of this the excitement wore off and tiredness drew in so we went in search of the more 'walkable' path. This meant cutting through some forest thickly blaketted by leaves and coming out at another river bed, this time much wider and gentlier sloped.
So we followed this down, picking our path over stepping stones ...
Bled and Bohinj
... to turn back but then continued down in the car to the lake at Bohinj again. Here there is a stone stag overlooking the lake, which I proceeded to attempt to climb onto, however it was extremely slippy due to the rain so I ended up dangling for a while holding onto its legs.
A little soggy we decided to get cosey for the evening with a room picnic so grabbed supplies in Mercator before headed back to get warm, dry and fed :-)
