... socks and Mickey Mouse glasses. There were as many Japanese men wearing pink bow tie shirts and Disney character-eared hats than women. That is something that I did NOT see in California. Not sure what it is, but the men here have no problem wearing stuff that most men in North America wouldn't be found dead in.

The kids loved the rides and the character areas. It was at least the fourth time on the trip that Colson announced "This is the best day EVER!!" ...

... you can't get a good sense of the city. By the end of the day I must have wasted nearly 4 hours walking around just because I was lost. Honestly I think I'll just stick to the subway system from now on, it's a fairly complex system too but at least it only has one consistent map and there is some logic to its organization!

After some mindless searching and a quick visit through Sensoji Temple (apparently one of Tokyo's most famous temples), I found ...

... to find food that fussy pants over here would eat. Sushi is just not my thing, but Katsu and gyoza on the other hand... Yum. But again, you would have to go to separate restaurants to get them.

The next day we headed into central Tokyo - Marunouchi. The main Tokyo train station was pretty impressive, a beautiful red brick building built in 1914 with shiny new skyscrapers all around. We headed into a few shopping malls before going to check out the Imperial Palace ...
