Hotel Unter den Linden Rüdesheim am Rhein

Arriving late in the afternoon we checked in at the Ibis (not the best hotel, but it was cheap considering the cost of other hotels). This hotel is located right in the centre of the old town.

Short entry this time....

Only here for one night. Got to the hotel saw a couple of shops with beersteins, birkenstocks and clocks. Had dinner and watched some feral women proceed to get ****** and act like idiots in the hotel bar. Some good news though, won 30 euro on the slot machine in the hotel.

One of the guys (we assume it was a guy) even peed in the hotel hallway and our Tour Manager had to clean it up. People can be such animals.

... for supper and I was a brand new red head! Yay!
My Mom led us to a delicious Thai restaurant where we chowed down on way to much food. I only ordered entrees and I was stuffed and boy were those good tempura veggies! After a nice walk home to work off all the food we said our goodnights and went to our rooms. Luckily my mom’s flight was only at noon the next day so we were able to get up and give her some hugs and kisses goodbye ...

... go straight to sleep on the bus. she puts it down to having a kid and she can get woken up lots overnight so you get used to going quickly back to sleep but i mean seriously we're in a bus and its definatly not the most comfortable thing to sleep in.
Went to a beer stein factory this morning and it was heaps interesting to learn how they make them and the storys behind them..

I momentarily considered that it might not be safe to leave my luggage where it was, but then thought- "Come on, who is going to want my big, bulky bags?" Besides, I was largely surrounded by a combination of older people on tours and families. Not the thug types one sometimes finds on public transportation.

... future would hold (10 hours in a plane, impossible flight connections and sprinting through customs in Philadelphia, or even more tourist beaches in Italy and 16 hour trainrides to Paris cause RyanAir sucks), but that farewell was a very rewarding moment for all of us, hoping it meant that we would all get together one day for a few more packed stadiums and sandy beaches.
