... it as loud as she could, and then the cricket setting. It was so funny and she was laughing so much as she was doing it. She then played us a song that she had been practicing all day and then another Czech nursery rhyme sort of song, before, best of all, she played us a song with her feet! This was a visiting day: we saw some of Monika's relatives. Later in the afternoon we drove about 125 miles to her home town of Chocen to stay with her parents until Sunday. The weather keeps getting hotter and the forecast is hotter still!

Another 100m hike up a steep, rocky path and we arrived at a wooden viewpoint tower where we took some good photos and had a breather, as well as a short chat with a German ...

... spelunking expedition through the caves which takes you along narrow, dark passageways through the rock - not for the faint hearted judging by the photos! Once back in the warm sunlight and after the goosebumps had receded, we had a leisurely walk down to the car before driving back to the B&B for an afternoon of R&R. Badminton on the lawn, a 4km bike ride with the kids and an evening drinking wine with our friends. Tomorrow we get back on the hiking ...

... mountains running the cafe and enjoying the fresh air. A good balance if you don't mind the drive... Back to the B&B and a leisurely walk in the evening past the reservoir where Grandpa and I taught the boys 'He jumped without a parachute from 20,000 feet' and 'I know an old woman who swallowed a fly'. They're so used to Polish songs, the lyrics were quite a shock for them I think! Ah, memories of British ...
