    ... hadn't realised when we stopped in Bellinzona last night that it is a Unesco World Heritage listed site, as it has 3 magnificent castles built in the 13th, 14th & 15th centuries and surrounded by a high city wall, and then surprisingly the weekend was also Unesco 'open house' weekend, so all buildings were open and free to the public.

    ... since they live right on the border. I guess that kind of spoils my reasoning that "I must walk across Switzerland to Liechtenstein, because the trains are too expensive". But I've been having so much fun walking, there's no way I can stop now!

    They do give me their phone number and invite me to stay at their place when I reach Liechtenstein.

    ... recreation room, and point to the floor. "You can sleep here" "How much?" "Fifteen Euros" Fifteen Euros seems like a rip off for a space on the floor, but it's the cheapest offer I'm going to get here in Campodolcino, so I take it. Kind of feel like a refugee or something, laying out my sleeping bag while kids are still playing in the rec area... oh well.
