    on the hunt for somewhere nice to stay I was heading down a pass when I came
    across this little town with what looked like a brand new railway station had
    just been built. It also had the line running down the middle of the street
    which looked rather interesting and so i thought I will find somewhere here for
    the night.

    I made my way along these lovely streets of Ormont-Dessous I noticed what
    looked like a good hotel at the far end and so went ...

    ... and have spent happy times here in the past with business and community events as the city is twinned with Southampton. On this occasion we had no time to spare and we were loaded onto the ship quite quickly. this was the ship we should have been on last week so we were surprised to be loaded up onto an open air car deck. not many facilities but quite acceptable for a 41/2 hour ...

    The dock at Chateau de Chillon is only about a three minute walk from the castle. I walked to the entrance and bought my ticket (CH$12.50) and went inside. I didn’t bother with an audio guide (an extra CH$6) but just wandered through the various rooms, reading some of the displays in each one. If I need any information, I’m sure it will be on the internet.

    ... landed, but our bikes didn't. The ground staff told us that they could either be on their way to NY, in Zurich or maybe in London. It was quite disturbing as we had come for a race and we didn't want to hear that !!! Thankfully, three hours later, they arrived, so we grabbed a car and headed over to Lausanne.
