A bowl of kettle water would have been good. I opened the page and tried to find the warmest looking word and then pointed to something from the back that I thought might be any form of beverage. When my order arrived I actually started laughing like the Crazy Britannia girl I had been branded with. It was ...

We drove lots. We had lunch in Marijampole, Lithuania. We drove more, on into Poland and south. We finally found a motel in an obscure town after hours and hours of driving. It was OK, fairly cheap, but the rooms were stuffy, the kids were tired and I was grumpy after a night with no sleep and a day of endless driving. Oh, and it's raining. We had two weeks of perfect weather in the Baltics, and the minute we get back into Poland, there's a thunderstorm. What's that all about then?
