    ... Lots of naked statues! Free time for several hours so good chance to look at leather. Fantastic shops with hugely expensive goods but side street stalls have great stuff too so got wallets for the boys and s gorgeous bag for Kristen.     ... but really? I was DONE. Um….MORE to come!! Dopo dessert was the fruit course. Lovely fresh fruit spears of cantaloupe, grapes, watermelon, pineapple, prepared like a kabab. Presentation is everything, no? NOW….the food portion of the day was over. UNBELIEVABLE meal. Were they cooking for days? Who has this kind of time? I was SO overwhelmed by everything.

This is the same school where we met Lisa - it's got a (hot) park ranger working at the front gate and the path leads up to the school where all the students are shouting out the windows asking questions and saying hello...     ... the Gondala ride because the canals might be too high! I think we are jinxed with weather! The bus took us to Tronchetta, then we got the tram to Venice. Walked through the city, over all the bridges. Lots of rubbish in the canals which was not very pleasant.     ... the information office, as we had no room reservation. We looked at the lists of alternatives and found two budget options near the center. While Barb sat on the bags, I pounded the cobblestones looking at the two choices. I choose the Posta Hotel as it was the cheapest, was clean, and had a grocery store across the street, and was right next to the town square. We paid 56 Euro per night. The alternatives were much more expensive.
