      Still at the Fiat Professional Dealer, Problem found! The Speedometer is faulty causing a low glow of the handbrake warning light and a new Speedometer is required... Spoken to Fiat Customer Services and waiting to hear if they will cover this under goodwill as the Herman is 3 months outside ...

      Herman has fallen ill and has been rushed to the Fiat Hospital in Terni... We've seen a mechanic consultant and it appears water has got into the fuel system and now needs to be drained and flushed through...! We were all set for a 6hrs drive to West of Genoa today trying to push on and get around to France and Spain... Hopefully will be sorted today and back on the road tomorrow. UPDATE...       ... sun is starting to set, I’m getting tired and I have to drive back to Rome. Catia asks if I’d like to take a nap, no thanks. I want to get to Rome before it gets dark…..driving in any unfamiliar city in the dark is a challenge. In Rome? It is a recipe for disaster!!! So, we get back to the house and say our goodbyes.

      ... the Gondala ride because the canals might be too high! I think we are jinxed with weather! The bus took us to Tronchetta, then we got the tram to Venice. Walked through the city, over all the bridges. Lots of rubbish in the canals which was not very pleasant.       ... Pat. We had a bit of scare on the train ride home... We ended up on an express train that didn't stop at our stop. People on the train were very helpful and explained that we could get off at the next stop and take another train back. I will say that people have been very helpful whenever we needed directions or confirmation that we were headed the right way. We made it back safely, in time for a nice dinner prepared by Pat, and a leisurely evening at the ...
