... to pick us up this morning and take us and our luggage to the next stop 1.5 hours drive away! For no charge! Very kind! The driver dropped us off where our starting point was and then he took the luggage to our accommodation. After an email from a friend suggesting we use GPS and me replying "don't be silly that would take the fun out of the walk" I actually did that on wifi before I left and when we were exhausted at end of walk ...

Great start down through a chestnut ...

We were picked up the day before at the square in Santa Maria for the 30 mins drive into the mountains, much cooler thank goodness. Staying at L'Antico Convent, B&B in Rocco Cilento. Wonderful place with 10 rooms, fantastic host Paola and his wife Concheta who does the cooking. Incredible 4 course meal, everything home made, even the sausage and of course the pasta. Breakfast again was right down my alley....2 ...

    Train Time Musings

... 5 hours to go. The train splits when we cross over into Sicily, so we have to ensure we're in the right half of the train, which currently I don't think we are. The best thing about travelling is that your problems are no longer about life, but about gritty things, like how do I get food in this country? or in our case now, am I on the right train? Having these basic problems in your day gives you plenty of time to look over the rest of your life, and write odd ended blogs like this ...
