... is still a big hotel at the top of the hill with amazing 180 degree views of the coast - but it is now completely derelict. We air wheeled up there to explore and it's a real shame that it is no longer used as it is in a fantastic location - and apparently it used to have a swimming pool on the roof too ! We were also lucky to have another nice sunset down on the beach so yet more sunset photies coming up ...

Of course no journey is possible without its delays and this was no exception, as with that long arduous journey a week ago, we had a long delay at Salerno, sitting on the train that was to complete our journey. Once it got going, some 70 minutes later, it did move quite fast and hugged ...

I have arrived! It was a long flight without too much sleep, but fairly uneventful. The first thing I met in Naples were stairs. In an airport, with two bags. Several flights of stairs, and this is a large airport! What happened to escalators? I have heard you do a lot of stairs in Italy, but I didn't expect them in the airport! Once upstairs, I wandered around a bit trying to find a certain restaurant where I was supposed to meet ...
