From beautiful Brugge we drove south west to Ypres. Along the way we stopped at some of the war memorials to the fallen soldiers. All this area is part of Flanders. We stopped at the Tyne Cot cemetery. It is the biggest commonwealth memorial. It was quite surreal looking at the walls knowing every name on the wall represents a soldier whose body was never found or identified.

So we had a scramble to find them all and get them down there. Liam needed a 30 gm weight on his rudder, they all needed new tow ropes of 7 metres not six and Emily needed her pink sail numbers to be outlined in black. Not much really. Oh, and some how the paddles that were ...

... before they got wet rather than damp. It WAS funny but our comfortable spot was gone. Amanda and I have retreated to the restaurant and so far they have not hassled us to order anything. Daryl just rang me to say he was out on the end of the pier (a 4 - 5 km) ride and he was going to swim out to the cadets but then he said he wouldn't and then he hung up. So I haven't heard from him yet ........ He was fine but said it was a long ...
