      ... Ice (flemish stew on fries with a waffle). Then did brewery tour at De Halve Maan brewery, had a Brugse Zot beer afterward.

      Went to sint-janshospitaal, which is an old medieval hospital that now functions as a museum. Back in the day, medical technology wasn't up to snuff, so instead of using practical medical procedures, which didn't exist, you went to a hospital like this one and mostly just had your soul taken care of while you waited to die. ...

      ... due back at the club for a Belgium BBQ. Daryl went a bit earlier to attend the AGM as a rep for 6th Fleet along with Mike Kelly who is the President of the Australian Cadet Association. We met at the club and found a couple of tables in the marquee. We had to wait until 7:30 for presentation and the 'price giving' for yesterday, then everyone queued up for the BBQ. It was really well done and lots of food to select from. Worth the €20 each (competitors free). ...

      ... carry a horn with them! I assume that the tidal stream must get pretty strong here and there must be some swimmers that get caught. We ended up going back to the units via the supermarket as we were all in Cait's car. Gosh, it's weird driving on the other side of the road. It just feels so wrong! We then got back to the club to meet up with the kids and dads. There was a mussel snack being offered afterwards but we declined and got the kids back to the unit for dinner and bed. Later ...

      ... a water for me. We checked out a few shops then got the tram back to the Y.C. I have managed to get on the WiFi and upload some blog entries. It takes a while for the photos to upload so if you are reading this, you may find more photos have appeared in previous entries. We again have a dog next to us at the restaurant table - it has it's own chair this time! We plan to go to another market tonight and may get some dinner there. It's on the way back to our unit.       ... being a Public Holiday and the Coronation Day of the new King Phillippe. There were crowds there but we managed to get all we needed for lunch and snacks. Daryl decided to go off to find a bike hire shop. Amanda and I walked over to the yacht club which is only about 2 to 3 hundred metres away.
