We only have one full day in Bonifacio, arriving late yesterday afternoon, and leaving tomorrow morning for a couple of days in the northern mountains of Corsica. So today had to be the day we experienced as much as we could. We had checked out boat tours (no name tags, no numbered stickers on our shirts!!) to get have a look at Bonifacio from the water. There are a multitude of tours to pick from, some all-dayer's ...

On the way to to the ferry we had planned to stop to see the other Nuraghic ruins that we didn't see the other day, These were supposed to be bigger and better, and they didn't disappoint. The most impressive was a village covering 4 hectares. The biggest most complete tower was the central meeting area for the village and the chiefs dig's. These are round houses 2 stories tall made completely of stones. ...

... like Australia. We spotted many eucalyptus trees that looked suspiciously like the scribbly gums from back home. We've become so used to hobbling over rocks into the waters of Hvar and Sicily that the kids are amused by beach sand. Grace thoroughly enjoyed digging & writing in the sand; meanwhile Mitch disliked any sand in his swimmers & quickly decided nudity was the better option! (I love this age where there's no inhibitions yet). ...

... son swims 5kms a day at the beach. Other guest know adelaide from the grand prix. Lol.
Back to our tabel out the front of the hotel for nightcaps.

Left Sardignia on ferry. Slightly chaotic. Every one wanted to be first except the officials. Didn't arrive until 45 minutes after the allotted time Ba!
Bonifacio was majestic. The landing town in Corsica. (will try for photo on return ferry). Sheer 100 ft cliffs with houses teetering on the edge.
