    Finally the cliffhanging section gives way to a more gentle system which makes its way through trees and forest area and gently eases its way into a massive valley between two mighty high mountains.

    Hear near the bottom I stop at a wonderful coffee shop which is hung on the edge of a cliff. The views across the valley are some of the most stunning views I have ever seen ...

    ... our very good friends, Ingrid and Frank Kunstel, was especially amazing. We've known each other for over 40 years, so we know each other well. We have a nice rhythm of traveling and being together. Seeing all this with them, experiencing it together, enhanced every minute.

    ... driving on the right hand side but I think I did ok! I drove us round most of the day. We went up to San Martino to say goodbye to Nonna Mela. We are now traveling around with a massive bag of apples, so Daniela and I have decided we will make it a challenge to see if we can all finish them before we leave Italy!
