It was the 1st out of 3 formal nights and, as we are what are known as ‘anytime diners’, we can only use a certain restaurant. We rang the desk to make a reservation during the afternoon ...
... that somewhere out here they buried their treasure. Before the Pirates were the Jesuits Missionaries (another word for Pirate!?!?) who also lived on the land. There is a strong feeling of history here, even with only small signs of civilization. It is a very strong place.
Donna & I agree that the afternoon has been a definite highlight of the whole trip. We seem to keep topping ourselves in this department. I don't know how much more of this ...

The LC Humane Society has a lot of support from the community and this event was no different. over a dozen local restaurants were there serving up samples of delicious food and our favorite Baja Brewing was on tap, (not free, but worth the $). A few of the dogs and cats from the shelter were there as well, and we are happy to report that they did not have to come back to the shelter as they've been adopted.
