... If another car came the other way we both stopped and my stomach clenched as we squeezed past as below me were vertical drops into the river. Thank goodness this was only for the last 50 km of our journey but it has made me change my route for tomorrow as the same path onwards to Barcelona looks even more challenging. The river was a deep emerald blue and we came to a lake that was ...

... the bull run all the way to the bull ring. Then afterward shopped and had lunch in the restaurant overlooking plaza in which Hemingway use to eat. Lovely city and we got to run with a few Bulls as practice in case we come back next July for the actual event. Later in the day we continued to the Pyrenees traveling over mountain roads to Bielsa. We decided to make our start towards Barcelona where we need to be in 3 days. Our plan is to run along the foothills of the Pyrenees and it wasn't long before we saw snow ...

We left a drizzling valley in France with hugs from our hosts and took off to Spain. We could have taken the pass but the rain was snow at higher levels and the added bonus of slippery roads was not something Pat looked forward to, so an 8 km tunnel was chosen. They advise 100m between cars, hard to imagine Australians managing. As our previous Spanish host - Javier had advised, ...
