... I'm sure there aren't too many people that lives here anyway, at most probably 100). I walked around the town within 15 minutes, one interesting thing is that, out of all 4 of the towns that I've passed by, all of them have a playground for kids (both soccer and basketball) and a church. ... in the high 30's and even when we were at the snow line it was very warm. It was a steep climb for the first couple of hours with wide mountain and valley views, with much of it very pastoral with grassy slopes and meadows. We drank frequently from the many mountain streams. We had lunch, which was bread and fig cake again, at the snow line with the sheep nearby. Of the two hikes we did in the Pyrenees, it would be hard to pick a favourite. They were ...

... to be open. We had a great breakfast there and started our hike a little after 10:00 am. We carried water with us and a fig cake we had bought in Mobtserrat. We also picked up a fresh baguette in Gavarnie. We hiked the number 1 trail which is an easy trail that ends at 1/2-1 kilometre from the base the Granda Cascade, the main waterfall. From there, many hikers continue towards the waterfall, and the many narrower waterfalls. We hiked all the way to ...
