      ... find the ferry back to Copacabana but on the way I got caught up in festival involving hundreds of people dancing in impressive costumes to several competing brass bands. All this was overseen by the town elders who, at 11am, were drinking beer and chewing coca leaves. I stayed, watched and shared some beers with a French couple for a couple of hours then took the boat back to Copacabana where I stayed the night, again in a single room, and prepared to take the bus to La Paz the next ...

      ... to store blankets and food, and even figured out how to position them with the wind so that the food wouldn't spoil. They did such a good job preserving supplies that the Spaniards would seek them out to gain supplies for themselves. Once again, I have to make an "L" with both of my hands to remember which one is left. I have no idea how the Incans were able to put this all together.
