A lovely, warm. sunny Friday morning. A perfect morning to sightsee Amsterdam by canal boat. The boats loaded right next to our ship, then spent two hours showing us the sights.

... We ride the elevator to the top where Ash has a ticket to ride the flying fox to the bottom. We have a look around and go up the rotating lift. We head to the flying fox only to be told that they are finished for the day, when the lady at the desk told us to go up she meant straight away. We head to Amsterdam where we will spend the next two nights. We meet Max and Francine who are from Germany and they invite us to drink Wodka with them.

Onze reis naar Canada komt steeds dichter bij. Vandaag hebben we nog even van het heerlijke weer hier in Nederland genoten, morgen gaan we toch echt inpakken en vroeg naar bed. Zaterdag hopen we dan met vliegtuig naar Canada te gaan. Het is ons nu echt verzekerd dat alles goed staat, dus we gaan er van uit dat we geen problemen meer ondervinden bij het inchecken.

I'm typing this from the plane on the way to Amsterdam. I can now say I have experienced another first in my life. I have had my name called on the overhead speakers in an airport. We were late getting into Minneapolis and as we are rushing from gate F10 to G8 (yep, they are nowhere near each other) we hear our names announced overhead to report to gate G8 for the final boarding call.
