... was quite a trip through wide streets. With such big impressive buildings. The Hotel Metropole was also extremely grand with chandeliers everywhere ! Our room was grandly old fashioned. Yep, we have been gone for 7 weeks, or approx. 1/10th of the time we expect to be away.
We arrived in Nizhny yesterday, and it is HOT! Even I have resorted to a sunhat. We took the option of a cheap hostel near the railway station.
