Its all Greek to me - the Island of Samos

A travel blog entry by gmscholz

We travelled down to Ephesus to see one of the most intact Roman ruins in Turkey and made our way to the last residence of the Virgin Mary in a small mountain valley in the hills close to Ephesus. As we returned to the coast we decided to take a break from Turkey and take a ferry across to the Island of Samos in Greece. I had in my mind that the …

... the current prices of what they´re looking for. Luckily this was not our case. We had checked for the prices of accommodation in Pamukkale a few days before. Hence, we had a clue if he was fooling us entirely or just partially :)

We got on the train to Denizli at 17.05. Again we were very pleasantly surprised about the interior of the train. It was very clean, comfortable, silent and everything inside was automatic. Besides there was a food service in the ...

... I thought about talking to Jason in a made up language to let them know that two can play that game. Actually, that is a great idea. I am taking a road less travelled, but I will try to be careful traveling it. ...

Archeologists dug it up hundreds of years ago. It was abandoned because it was a port before but then the water dried up. So it was abandoned so people took away stuff from it to build cities. ...

A great place to stay with beaut rooms on the seafront with balcony. Appreciated the little things after having been travelling for a while eg. kettle, fridge, plates and cutting board.
Immaculate rooms and fantastic people, we loved it here and hope to revisit Ian & Tina again!
