... m glad I did because the place is very historic and interesting and the museum is something else! Some pics are posted but check it out on t'internet.
Ok - we're up to speed now, had a nice little chat with Mum earlier who tells me that everything is ok at home but Verity is still hanging on. Jump out on her from behind a door Luke that should sort it!

... We checked into our lovely hotel, at least we'd got that right, it was slap bang next to the Guggenheim. We could have paid another hundred quid a night and had a room with a Guggenheim view, but instead we had the standard room and I bought a postcard from the Guggenheim gift shop and leant it against the window. Apart from the nice hotel and the happy friendly staff, our day didn't improve much. We walked around town and decided to have a drink at one of the many terrace ...
... street so we cold hear all the goings on. But everything went a bit quiet after about 4 and then started up again at about 6. It was a really fun atmosphere. There was also some kind of festival going on there (not planned).
A walk, some drinks and pintxos (that's how they spell it in Basque), we headed back to our room to ready ourselves for our trip to Madrid the next day.

... on the floor and the audience comes up one by one and snips off little bits of her clothing with large scissors. One man came up and snipped off her whole bra and she looked most uncomfortable!
Another one was a photo of a band playing on stage and people came and wrapped the band members entirely in bandages so they couldn't play their instruments any more!

... building was phenomenal; apparently, it houses a five-star hotel, which I feel Dennis was remiss not to book--as great as our dorm room was, I think a suite at the Marques de Riscal would have been better. Dennis had, however, booked a tour and tasting at the winery. Our tour was fantastic, with an excellent guide, very professional informational videos (yay videos!) and a lot of educational information about the Rioja wine-making process in particular.
