... Team Maui (Kevin and Laura)! We all took the short ferry ride together but we stopped for ice cream. The rest of the "teams" continued on or perhaps stayed in the town to eat a bit down the way.
Once we got to Vlissingen, it was very difficult to find the hotel. Once we got to the train station, we thought it was a short ride over but we quickly realized that we had to cross over another canal with locks (which were opening and we had to wait for) ...
I packed away the still dripping tent and improved our mood with tea, we were camped very close to the border and within the hour arrived back in France, two hours later the sign posts were in German, and we had Luxembourg firmly in our sights. ... seconds after falling asleep, Saskia woke us up with fresh brewed coffee and breakfast. Shortly after we were on the road to the beach. (It still kills me how easy it is to spend the weekend in a different country!) It was the perfect Sunday; sun, sand, ocean, and friends. Us Kansans thought the water was a bit too brisk to really swim in, but Saskia didn't waste any time before diving right in. We were happy enough to read and nap on the beach :) We ...
