    ... told Luke he needs to try a Wiener Schnitzel. He has had chicken before at home but I wouldn't really call it traditional. He enjoyed this so much that after eating half of it (they were large) he said he was full but then a minute later proceeded to finish it off.

    This was washed down with ice cream but check out the photo to see it was not just an icecream in a cone.

    ... same mixed feelings as when we were about to leave. A little impatient, a little sad, a little emotional and very happy.
    * We hope the girls will remember a few moments, feelings, smells or tastes. * We think they've grown and learned a lot.     After a long connecting flight i arrived in Germany at 6am.
    Today was spent eating bread, drinking coffee and checking out the Ironman event that loops the town.
    There is also a food and wine festival kicking off today and running for 10 days total, It was huge and draws a big crowd, there was stalls everywhere and live music.

    ... It's crazy to be able to go through such an event as an intern-- really seeing how people react, how something like this can affect peoples' lives and their families', their plans, etc. It really is a lot to go through, and I'm actually fortunate to only be an intern. I cannot imagine what going through something like this would be years down the road.. But it happens.

    ... Wiesbaden. It is quite a small city, but she showed me the nicest things from the area.first we went to see a massive castle by the river- with a nice park that we walked around and just caught up. That day was freezing, -2 degrees! but it didn't snow :( we also walked up a big steep hill - the highest point in Wiesbaden, so we got a good view, but the fog was still lingering around so it was a little hard to see. that day we did quite a lot ...
