Roma, plus sunshine in Tuscany
... big Mall was on the other side of Florence(about 100 k’s away) so it was back on the Autostrada for us. It was a good time out from sightseeing, and we managed to spend some money so it was worth the drive. I checked out a big electronics shop, and things seem to be the same price here in Euro’s as they are in NZ$, so no Iphone or Ipad for Andy (maybe in Hong Kong).

Day 5 - Greve & Verrazzano Winery
Our day began with an unexpected stop to the little town of Greve on our way to our second winery. It was a charming little village in the Tuscan hills. As do most Italian towns the streets were filled with little shops on smooth cobble stone roads. We only stopped for an hour but it was plenty of time to buy an authentic Italian cook book and fresh salami, cheese, and bread for an afternoon snack. Right ...
Siena-Arezzo 90km
Parto da Ponte a Bozzone, dopo una ottima colazione servita con amore. Da Siena, percorro la strada verso Taverna d'Arbia, dove pedalero lungo le Crete Senesi, uno dei luoghi consigliatimi dal Periccia. Si tratta di un percorso ondulato, di una ventina di kilometri, in mezzo ad un paesaggio straordinario. Questo deve essere uno di quei posti dove vengono i fotografi dei calendari della Toscana.
