We flew the 727, and made a visual approach and landing to rwy 16. The city is located near the coast itself, and landings permitted only from rwy 16.

The dry season has definitely arrived in Tanzania. Everything is covered in dust and has gone from green to brown. The weather is a bit dreary, but the sun eventually peaks out from behind the clouds each day. Luckily, I was able to escape to Gabon for 10 days to enjoy the equatorial sunshine, beaches, and friends there!

Twenty eight hours ago I landed in Libreville, Gabon. In three and one half hours I hope to fly overnight to Johannesburg and on to Polokwane - a day late.
