      ... t go out again tonight; I'm very tired and although Squirt won't admit to tiredness ever, she was quite happy to sit and play cards with me and then play on her tablet. Tomorrow we have a few hours left for a final wander round Ljubljana before back to Zagreb and the funky Red Room this time. On Thursday we are, all being well, going to the Plitvice Lakes, a highlight of the trip for me but I need to be a lot less tired to enjoy it as it's a very energetic day with a 5am start!

      ... In one area there seemed to be a food market, not particularly aimed at tourists, but with masses of food stalls from all over the world selling (very cheaply) tasters of the various cuisines. It seemed very popular with loads of people tasting the food. I liked the seating - see photo, which was made of old wooden pallets.

      ... a Saturday there were both produce and arts n craft markets to explore and Mum made a few purchases. We walked across both the Triple Bridge and Dragon Bridge and went into the bright pink Franciscan church and the church of St. Nicholas. It was close to 30c in Ljubljana so we were quite happy to find Cacao - the #1 ice cream parlour in Ljubljana. It was so good we went there twice in one day!!!
