... Park and thought I’d stop for lunch in a village before taking the road over Vrsic Pass. I was eager to try some Jota but was also interested in a dish that was translated as Boiled Potatoes with Quark Cheese, one the waitress said was a very typical lunch in that area. And that’s what it was – a plate of tiny boiled potatoes surrounding a mound of quark flavored with herbs. I had somehow expected some kind of potato mash with some cheese mixed in or ...

... area that feels more financial/businessy, not on a New York or London level, but appropriate for a little Eastern Europe metropolis. Continuing along, I end up at the National Gallery, which I decide to check out because I love art, it soothes me. Costs 6 Euro to take a stroll through this pleasant, but not spectacular, art gallery (it is air conditioned though, big ups for that). Not a lot of spectacular art, but its a good change of pace.

... we spoke about our travel destinations-where we had been, where we wanted to go. Now as the token Australian, stereotypically I am meant to be the friendly, laid back one who likes to party(It's really fascinating to understand how the world sees you). Well I was so loud that they had to close the door to the experimental music so my laughter couldn't be heard. Now that's partying like an Aussie, although, it was slightly embarrassing. :) I blame the rum and coke-they made ...

... bus just never came, seeing as there were no signs for it anywhere, but more likely I was in the wrong typical downfall: refusing to ask for time I will ask everyone I see until I get a solid answer. Finally around 2:30 I decided the bus wasn't coming or I had missed it. I really didn't want to stay another night- I wanted to get going and it was too late to cancel my reservation at the hostel here. Thankfully at another ...
