... would recommend this hostel but they do not provide linen so bear that in mind. They do however have tonns of drink offers and pizza (which is amazing btw) for €5. After demolishing our pizza we headed into town. The walk takes about 10-15 minutes although if you want the train or bus station catch the bus from outside the hostel for €2. We stopped off at Hagen Diaz for a waffle. OMG it was amazing. They give you a little pot of chocolate to pour on top. ...

After a short trip by rail from Ghent, we walked towards the old center via one of many markets, it being Saturday morning and all. Fresh mini waffles from a friendly vendor, followed by a walking tour of the city monuments. Halfway through, the sweet temptress chocolate seemed ...

... the owner asks this couple if we can sit with them. Order two house beers and say hello. We soon are having great conversation and laughs with our new friends from Holland. After an hour or so, they go change their dinner reservations elsewhere so they can hang out with us longer. What a privilege to meet such nice people. Arum ( pronounced Ah-hum for us phonetically challenged Americans) and Linda ( how easy) are in their late twenties and made ...
