    ... Foreign in its rhythm and still all too familiar.

    A week spent snorkelling, idly swimming, lying on rocks that warmed our hearts, staring without intent at a horizon vacant of white caps, admiring the super highway of yachts, collecting rocks that were abandoned at the end of the day.

    Haute Corte. Forever in our hearts and forever grateful we will be.

    ... beautiful walks and plenty of forest
    greenery in the way of beeches and chestnut trees. Very scenic drives with
    plunging gorges, jagged spiny mountains with roads and small hilltop villages clinging
    for a precarious hold. One holds one breath and does not look over the side of
    the roads!

    ... there were many that were obviously being used as residences, and hadn't been moved in years. We had dinner at one of the local little pubs, and then headed to bed. It has been about 22/23 degrees today, which we have enjoyed after the heat and humidity of Corsica. Tomorrow we plan on heading to Camden market, getting a canal cruise boat back to Paddington, before heading to the airport for our flight home.     ... if we just picked out a main dish. The seafood has been great, but it is an island, and we are right on the coast. However we didn't think much of the mussels, that everyone else seems to love. Tonight's dinner was again beautiful, and really more than we could eat. I had the fish soup.     ... towns had newer looking holiday apartments, and catered for the summer holiday makers. We stopped at a couple of beaches for a swim, and though the beaches were pebbly, the water was beautiful, though getting in and out of the water is a tricky experience without water shoes.
