    ... We went to the local Basilica first( is this the 57th church we have been in?) and then down the road to look at the villa in the movie Under the Tuscan Sun.     Update part 2 Well we have arrived at Perugia and it is stinking hot. In our hotel room with the airconditioning blasting and lying down on the bed. Our feet are killing us. After a soak in the bath we are almost human again and it is only 4.30 in the afternoon. Nice and clean hotel room but only one English speaking channel(BBC news) out of 50 channels.     Today we followed the highway of the Sun North through Naples a fairly run down city that has 15% unemployment it is sitting in the shadow of Mt Vesuvius, this morning we saw it without cloud,it is possible to take a tour to the top. we passed the mountain top Abby of Monte Cassino a vey important site during the last war where many allied troops lost their lives. We visited the War Cementry containing over 4000 servicemen buried but over 40,000 died to secure the Mountain.

    So glad we went to Assisi yesterday because today it rained all day and the temperature never got higher than 13 degrees.
