... the long steady climb back up the hillside to Castelvecchio and the site. Monday we decided to 'do' the waterfall at Marmore, near Terni, since it had been recommended by an Italian gentleman we had met at Piano Grande. The cascade is one of the highest in Europe, but unusually it is the highest man made waterfall in the world. ... products such as prosciutto, salami and sausages. The beasts like nothing better than acorns and snuffle around the surrounding oak woods, which are also the source of the elusive black truffle unearthed by dogs. I think it is a beautiful thing regardless of your religious affiliations or beliefs. A coffee and a cake followed ... What can I say? Craig loves cakes! Next we ...
