Actually, we did the highs first. We drove to a town called Gubbio, inland from us (back towards Perugia really), where we tried out their "cable car". These consist of small cages, each containing a maximum of two people, that go up the side of the mountain to a basilica at the top.

Fortunately the weather started out well, so despite the odd spot of rain, there was little or no wind, and jumpers were enough to keep us comfortable! ...
