Perugia is perfect for wandering around, hiking and as a starting point for other trips. Perugia has plenty of beautiful churches, hidden parks and cute alleyways.

Johnny & I walked quite a lot around Cortona and surrounding districts and also from the villa. A very picturesque part of the world. We then drove up to the old walled town and had a wander around, It is small but different to other hill towns we have visited because most of the shops sell produce, wine and olive wood products and each archway entrance in the wall has a lake view. We also saw a lot of motor bikes on the roads around the lake as Italy's largest open-air motor bike event - Italian Bike Week - is being held near the lake this ...

... so clearly, it's wonderful. We have gone up a couple time for what we call "vino parties," where basically everyone grabs a bottle of wine and (if they're feeling classy), a wine glass and we all head up and have a few glasses of vino, have some fun, act like fools, get too cold, and come back down. At which point we normally stop at the hostel to de-layer before heading down to the Lion's Well Pub, the spot in town where we party.

      Loving this place!!!
