    ... that was no surprise. Lovely speeches, huge and many food courses and very nice wine. The cellars had three levels, with the basement having roman bases and carvings. On the middle cellar level there was also the customary table set for Romeo and Juliet in case they called in. Got back to our digs at a reasonable time and so we all scoured our rooms for whatever drinks we had and ended the night in very happy spirits.     ... mosaics, which took almost 300 years to build. Even the detailed stone paving leading up to the steps indicates that one is approaching a special place. The interior is decorated with Luca Signorelli's frescoes, created from 1499-1504 including his famous depiction of the Last Judgment. The Duomo complex includes several additional museums which we plan to visit tomorrow, so we are back to our B&B to get ready for our trip outside of town for wine tasting.
