    ... the Rhine river then headed south towards the border. At one point, I could see France on my right and Germany on my left! It was easy to see that I was getting closer to Swiss because the mountains kept getting bigger. I even went through a mountain a couple of times!     ... we caught the bus up to the Mt. Pilatus ground station. We then took a 4 seater gondola up to the third station which then took us on a big gondola to the top of Mt. Pilatus. The cog wheel train does not run during the winter season so we didn't go up on it. It was a bit scary going up although the view was spectacular.
