... when he started talking about "Jimmy sleeping bag", but it was crushed ruthlessly, and he seems to have completely abandoned the idea ( though he was on my sleeping mat when I went to bed last night). This morning we were taken to a train station about 10 minutes away and boarded a train to travel the Bernina Pass. It was yet another very scenic outing in the alps with snow peaks and waterfalls. The train has windows that can be pulled down to allow for photos. We didn't go the whole way. This morning we headed off to the Alprose chocolate factory. It was a bit of a disappointment in that we couldn't see much in the production line. I am sure the main purpose was to get us to buy chocolate! On entry to the shop there were bowls of chocolates to sample, then in the shop there were discounted chocolates, probably the most discounted of any chocolate place I have been to. ... bus would have done him in... and i had spare seat beside me...Angela the tour guide was lovely... But talked each time I dozed off...hahaha... Stopped for coffee half way there... Arrived at Tirano (Italy) and had an hour for lunch before we caught the Bernina Express to St Moritz ... Crossed the border ..didnt need to show passports... but we did need to have them with us...The train ride up into the alps was spectacular... Starting 429mts ...
