... having so much fun!
We were talking to four other people - two from Extremadura (in Spain), one from the Balearic Islands (in Spain), and another from Ecuador. They are all students here trying to practice their English. So, we spoke to them in Spanish and they spoke to us in English. It was very interesting and we were able to help each other learn so much.
After dinner, we all went back to the common room in the dorm and continued to talk until almost ...
... stopped taking excursions into the actual cave so as to protect it), we did get to go into a replica cave. It was so interesting to learn about the cave paintings because they offer valuable insight to the beginning of humanity.
After the museum, we drove to Santillana to see the roman church located there. It was absolutely incredible to see this church because I have studied the different types of architecture in my culture of Spain ...
... very interesting to watch. Everyone was wearing red scarves around their necks for whatever it was that they were celebrating.
After leaving downtown, we decided to spend the rest of the afternoon at the beach. Tomorrow we are going to the west coast for the day, so stay posted for more exciting details about our trip :)
... D! We met up with Rusty (one of our other very good friends here!) and went to the beach. Yesterday, I found this amazing part of the beach with mossy boulders and rocks filtering and trapping the water, making it more blue and warm! I had to go back today!
Unfortunately, it got too cloudy. The sky looked ominous so we headed back to the dorm. I am still so happy with the time we spent there.
Today couldn't have been any better!

We all sat around and chatted for a while and watched the rest of the game. Unfortunately Colombia lost, but they played well. It's just after midnight now and I'm getting ready for bed, while the other three are downstairs having dinner. This Spanish schedule will always confuse me. I'm leaving here at 10am tomorrow so I probably won't see my hosts again, but they were really nice. I would definitely do Airbnb ...
