    ... has three main mobile phone providers – Vodaphone, Wind and someone else. We didn't want Vodaphone so settled for Wind, and boy did we get a good deal. We bought a SIM card with minutes and texts, but also 23Mb of data for less than 30 Euros!! And we could Hot Spot our iPads, too! So it was back to the campsite and we got busy downloading maps.

    We woke up to a beautiful vista from our balcony that overlooked the valley towards to sea. San Marino has a population of 30 000 and is tax free. At the very top is a walled city and our hotel was just outside the wall. It also has 3 enclosed forts that look spectacular lit up at night as well as during the daylight.
