... is so lovely..and not too hot this week.
Annie left, reluctantly on Monday. Hated to see her go..but got back into my Giglio paradise immediately. That evening..while sitting in my garden reading..a bee got up into my pant leg and stung me once..I put my foot on the back of my leg..knee jerk reeaction, and then it went higher and stung me 2 more times..until I inverted the pant and it fell out..wow did that hurt. ...

... Giglio is mostly made of granite and we were able to see the cliffs.. Also Iron was mined up until the 1960s and we could see the remnants of the caves and areas where this took place. Started my day with a walk after the church bells woke me again..at 7, then cappuccino on the beach..then to my #9 beach chair and umbrella..got my spot reserved for the week. ... office to get the real ticket. The positive side other than stressing out..was that the rental agency had booked it for 2 people and 1 car..so I saved 24 euros..didn't even see that til last minute. Back in line I went and got on the ferry..for a lovely ride to Giglio.. Weather washot with crystal clear sky and sun.

Am off on Sunday for the Island of Giglio, by far, my favorite island to visit. With only 10% of it developed, it is not touristy or crowded. The famous Costa Concordia ship went down there and is still ever present. They are still working on it to stabilize it ...
