... countryside along a narrow isthmus that nearly makes it an island, but not quite.
Now we very nearly pulled the pin and turned back because it looked very uninviting but, suddenly as we came over a hill and round a bend, there was an absolute little jewel! It was just like coming into Monaco, or maybe Portofino, but just gorgeous!

Beautiful day today. Mike and Joy went back to our little market (the employees there are thrilled) and stocked up on more essentials. ... a repeat of the calimari- alas is is closed! (wedding or funeral in family couldn't quite work it out). Anyway, of course we found somewhere else which was not as good but no complaints from us.
