Venice-Burano-Murano - Day 9

... I cannot even pick a favorite. At one point, the reflections of the houses in the canals were more exciting than the houses themselves. The place just oozes of cuteness.

Murano -- I still love Murano! Too many options of goodies and trinkets (aka jewelry) and you can't find any two items that are alike. Pretty certain that I single handedly boosted their economy in the hour and a half I was there.

... alleys, until we came to a hug square and the bell tower was chiming 12pm. We found some lunch in an American Cafe, where this kid was dropping crumbs and feeding the pigeon inside! This was Queenstown multiplied by about 20! We split up and did some shopping then. Met up to find our Gondala ride at 3pm. ... who was about as friendly as a rabid bull terrier, grunted that we could pitch our tent wherever we wanted (there were no house tents on offer this time around). Picking a suitably shady spot, we were set up in not time, and then went out to explore our nearby surroundings. Our plans for Pompeii were limited to achieving two things: visiting ancient Pompeii and climbing to the top of Vesuvius.
