At one time this lake was a popular destination spot for holiday makers, and many villas dotted the shoreline. Some evidence of it's hay day is easy to find, if you steer away from the Shrines which are still popular with coach parties, there are some remarkable scenes around the shoreline. What I didn't expect from the journey to the waterfall was that it was so high up in the mountains. We must of did at least 50 180 degree turns with the bus going up and then down. Not a trip for those easily affected by motion sickness...jeez. Once up top we had some pretty good ramen and then went off to view an incredibly beautiful ...

... tall and completely surrounded by the netting that you find at driving ranges that are next to the freeway. They also had targets painted on the netting which I thought was pretty cool. I am curious to see if they have to harness you in if you are using the 5th floor range since there can't be any sort of protective gate.

CoCo's: I saw a CoCo's diner in a Tokyo suburb. That is all.
