Ready to go...

We are ready to leave for our 20-days-Adventure. Asia is waiting for us. Only 24 hours and we'll be catching the plane taking us from Zurich to Hong Kong. We are - curious, excited, overwhelmed... Right now we are putting the last stuff in our backpacks - I really hope that they won't be too heavy in the end. Tomorrow it will be all about 6 hours at work trying to close everything ...

... checked his stuff and felt o.k. did his fanny pack back up and the 2 women got off at the next stop. She looked sour faced and coward back from Len.

We eventually got to sit together and talk, I was so upset by this all. There was a 3rd woman involved who was just down from us and she was calling "senior" trying to get Len's attention so the 2 could do their number, he didn't hear her, I did, I actually ...

... my bag number on the computer to see if it had been found. She said it was still being traced. It´s amazing to me that UPS and FedEx can track every package in such detail while the airlines don´t have a clue where your baggage is. There was a number on my lost baggage form to call for updates so I asked the Vueling rep if she could call for me since I didn´t know how to use the Spanish pay phones. She said she couldn´t since their phone was only for within the airport. I´m ...

... along with flamenco clubs. The dance clubs all play american music, with some spanish music mixed in. I find that a lot of people here in Barcelona speak english fairly well, more so than the rest of spain. But on that note, I also have to mention that Spanish is not the language of Barcelona, Catalunya is. This area of spain used to be its own independant kingdom, and the reminence of that still exists in the culture today. And one final note... and I ...

Thoughts From Above

... Class...who would have known? Thoughts of my loved ones circle round in my mind as I have come to accept the never ending butterfly garden that has planted itself inside my stomach, but the fear has been replaced by a calm, yet, building excitement. My new city is mere six hours, one plane hop, and a train ride away, and oh, how I long to hear the speaker say "Bienvenido a España."

... just witnessed. It had been, in fact, repulsive. And yet I felt bad for each of them. In retrospect, I should have showered on them the contents of my wallet. But in that moment, I demurred, politely, with a "Buenos noches," of my own and returned to cataloguing these events. It was one of those missed chances in life. I could ponder all night the esoteric question of whether rewarding that sort of behavior encourages it further or whether denying recompense, in some small way, would ...

To Spain

... the road and carry it back to the bar with our drinks. We passed through the deserted border post and dropped down into Spain. More winding roads, more spectacular views, more railway termini but no grapes. Cereal crops and lots of trees. We turned inland and joined the autoroute but it was tiring and I had to stop and close my eyes for twenty minutes at a layby. As we approached Barcelona we could see on the map that the coast ran parallel with the main road so we ...

Anyway, the facade is extraordinary with a definite wave theme and bone-like columns symbolising the victims of the dragon on the roof. Highly photogenic even in radiant overcast light ...

This is jojo .............. Sandy has downloaded some awesome photos we took the last couple of days. It is kind of cool that they have internet cafes everywhere. We take breaks from all the walking (my dogs are barking) and log some thoughts from our trip. Nice to not have to carry another thing for my pack like a journal. I´m already trying to figure out what clothes I don´t need... I wonder how many pairs of socks I really need???? The ...
