When we arrive, we quickly learn that Blake is too short for the rope course - even though their web site says kids are welcome, he will be stuck on the playground while we are having fun. We are invited to look around at the course, which is all up in the trees. Sam starts to get nervous, while Blake is just irate that he cannot do the course Csilla, meanwhile, calls up another park down the road that also has a rope course, ...

Of course this castle is much smaller and less grand than that in the movie, but it still got the boys excited.

The name of the castle is quite appropriate as Boldogkői vár, means "Happy Stone Castle". Much of the castle grounds were ...

... using such a day to check out one of the many thermal baths (termálfürdő) that are all over Hungary. We have recommendations from several people, and after doing some research decided to head to Miskolc and the cave bath. Laci stopped off before we left with some cookies "for the boys", that had a very pungent alcohol flavor. Laura tasted one right away and decided it was a whiskey filling, so we aren't really sure if Laci was joking or not, but we are ...

... know exactly how many young educated people have left Hungary to work overseas.

How interesting is that. The British government doesn't know either!

    * Even though we miss out on Sarospatak, if you are passing this way, it does seem to merit a visit.

*We have supper at the only restaurant in the village. It tastes surprisingly good.
