Today I had a farewell party at one of my favorite restaurants in Ashoro. Kumamoko. You're basically guaranteed great food at this place it's that good. There were about 34 people attending this party. One table was made up of the Mayor and other Town Council members. The view from the onsen was forest all around with a nice little river flowing beside it. As we left the onsen, we noticed that you can see directly into the women's indoor and outdoor onsens. Sightseeing and 1st Ever Taiko Performance
... When the second song finally finished, I was so relieved! I think a pre-performance beer or something would have soothed my nerves a little. I'll look into that next time.
The 2nd performance was a traditional Japanese dance. Some of the delegation members then performed. There was a piano piece, a song played on a violin, a guitar solo, and a duet sang entirely in Japanese. That was impressive. Good job ...
EARTHQUAKE!
Today started off like every other Friday. There was the usual routine of getting ready for work, going to work, prepping for next weeks lessons and studying Japanese at work, and then waiting eagerly for the weekend to being in the dying hours of the work day.
