... that this was nothing like home, the culture shock set in. I thought I was going to die before ever reaching our destination, there are clearly no rules for drivers, there appears to be no such thing as lanes here, it is like cram in wherever you can, and the scooters are crazy, they are everywhere. It took one hour to drive from the airport to our villa, the roads are narrow and the traffic was quite heavy.

... the end of the road (or the bottom of the hill) and were offered the option of a few kms of uphill cycling for those still feeling energetic. The effects of the coffee must have worn off as they didn’t have any volunteers, so we continued on to our final destination to have a delicious Indonesian lunch (with lots of veggie options for me). And all this for around £25 – must be one of the best value and most enjoyable tours I’ve ever been on.
