... spectacular views of the hillside, river and huge boulders below...think Puffing Billy on steroids! An awesome experience! As dusk fell we headed to a quaint riverside town to witness cormorant fishing. Birds on leashes, diving for fish from ancient looking boats. Then I bid my goodbye and left just as the lunch hour struck. I got pretty infuriated later that afternoon though. Imabari struck some real bad chords. The one day that my pmt levels peaked beyond belief was the wrong day for a hotel to email out a map that sent me wild goose chasing across town for ...

Hiroshima

A travel blog entry by reynolds925 on Apr 22, 2013

... for lunch (there is only so much tempura you can take and with our track record of picking lunch destinations it was convenient). After lunch it was time to visit the Hiroshima Peace Park and Museum. I was a little worried about Mum as she seemed to think Hiroshima had been bombed by the Germans (maybe she was sick from school the day they taught that). The Peace Park is beautiful and the impact of the bomb is emphasised by the A-Dome, the old ...
