We arrived in Copenhagen right on time after out flights from NYC to Reykjavik, and Reykjavik to Copenhagen. We didn't get much sleep on the first leg and by the second we were all tired enough to sleep in an upright position so we got a few hours rest. Both flights were smooth and on time. IcelandAir is an ok airline. You get 2 checked bags, which …

Slept so well last night! It was finally dark and quiet enough to get a good nights sleep. We booked our tickets to Amsterdam tomorrow online so that was super convenient. ... in a row! Don took some good photos as we retraced our route from Amsterdam back to the North Sea on the Noordzeecanal, which was built in 1876. This gave Amsterdam access to the sea and made it a major port. At one point a four-lane divided highway goes UNDER the canal. Clever, those Dutch! The sun was shining, and the tidy flat Dutch countryside was spring ...

... but the museum didn't offer access to anything new for her. We left Bremerhaven behind and headed toward Thüringen. That meant more crazy autobahn driving, but also really beautiful green scenery with lots of rolling hills and tall trees. We stopped in Mühlhausen to look around and have some dinner. We wandered into the Catholic Church and had a non-productive conversation with a German nun. ...
