Accommodation is a little beach hut extremely basic, but we can be thankful for a toilet with a seat and a chain! Never mind the cold shower and floor matress. We canceled our last night on the previous island to make it here sooner, so big expectations...and so far...no disappointments :) After a very long trip, of close to 24hours, we finally arrived this afternoon on our last destination...which is the best! It took us: - 45 min boat ride from Perhentian - 10 min taxi to the bus station - almost 6 hours waiting for our night bus to leave ( which it finally did at 11pm) - 8 hours on the bus, and this time not the luxurious bus ...
Day three of four at Bagus Place. What a difference a day makes. Thunderstorms all night and after a brief respite in the morning, rain and thunder most of the day. Despite feeling stiff and lethargic in the morning I managed to motivate myself to run. ... managed to do a jungle trek and visit the turtle sanctuary at Juara where we met a blind turtle called Jo. We got almost bored of seeing monkeys and saw some monitor Lizards and black squirrels along with a scary looking snake. We did all of this with our chalet neighbours Wayne and Sam from NZ.
Every evening has been spent with delicious food and then games/cards on our little veranda, what could be more relaxing? - well Paul could have let me win at least ...
