Accommodation is a little beach hut extremely basic, but we can be thankful for a toilet with a seat and a chain! Never mind the cold shower and floor matress. So after the French volunteers left we split our shifts with Fran and Tom and we would do either a breakfast or lunch shift each and then would share the dinner shift. Breakfast was 8-12, lunch 12-4 and dinner 7-11 so we were all doing at least 8 hours a day. When we raised this with the boss as being a bit of ...

    From Mersing to Paradise!

Having arrived in Mersing and attempted to make the locals smile in Port Cafe with no success we were glad to catch the ferry and escape to the Tioman Islands, even though getting on the ferry was pretty chaotic!

Having arrived at Swiss Cottage and seen that our chalet was literally on the beach and we woke up to a view of the sea every morning,we felt pretty smug that we had booked so long ago!

Got straight into the warm sea and swam, read and ...
