... and a day after arriving in Nice.

The trip to Milan from Cagnes-sur-mer is about 3 1/2 hours by car. The toll roads here are ridiculous! Basically all of the highways cost tolls. Some of them are what you would expect, 1.50 or even 2.50. The main highway that we took through Italy along the Meditteranean before cutting North towards Milan cost us 27.80 Euro EACH WAY!! That's like $35 - just to drive! For $35 it should at least come with a cookie and a hug. More train ...

Museum at Academia for a bit of culture- lots of painting of last supper that were rescued(?) from churches in town. Some really old 14c stuff and some more recent restored items. Amazing brushwork and huge alter pieces some with bible stories that were new to me. Spent arvo wandering lanes and canals. Pizza at same restaurant. ...

I mounted the bike again, pushed off, and down the dirt driveway, I rode.
