... jobs to do that have been on hold whilst we go sailing and enjoying ourselves. When we return with the car we will have Tony and Jean with us for a week’s cruising as a thank you for all their help at home looking after the garden and generally keeping an eye on things for us.

We were glad we made the effort yesterday as we had more rain ...

... of purchase ideas she suddenly announces that we need "DRIED MUSHROOMS".The whole reason we came to Belgium....of course silly me.....as she rushes off to ask some poor shelf stacker where they can be found. In Helsinki she dug out the Deputy Manager of dried foods to find the "SPECIAL SALT FOR SPRINKLING ON FISH" or was it the "CHOCOLATES" only found in Finland........... Tomorrow is our last day here but we are well stocked ...

... the front of the awning on as we have found that unless it’s chucking it down we don’t need it on and it’s good to be able to retreat under for some shade when he sun gets too hot. We were having breakfast under the awning today so I came out of the van and slipped my clogs on to get the table ready and I thought that my right foot felt a bit uncomfortable. We have depleted our stocks of lovely French cheeses and have started enjoying the wonderful Dutch ones. We know from previous visits that we love the one with nettles in and have now found another favourite with mustard seeds in.
