We spent a very pleasant day in Brugge today. We got the cruise shuttle bus from Zeebrugge to Brakenberge train station where we took a train to Brugge. It was cloudy in the morning but it cleared up to be quite warm and sunny. The streets are very quaint, many cobblestones and old buildings going back to the 16th century. In every country we have visiting together from Calcutta to Fiji, she sniffs out the must mundane product such as cheese triangles or tinned tuna and treats them like it is the first time she has ever come across them. ... the front of the awning on as we have found that unless it’s chucking it down we don’t need it on and it’s good to be able to retreat under for some shade when he sun gets too hot. ... and I learned later that there is one that you can enter without going up and down stairs. I’ve been managing stairs pretty well, though it’s not pretty (I mostly use my right leg). But Paula was able to get on, as I learned later. And as you know, I’m “into” this whole disability/access thing.
