... it was easy to look at old buildings and places as we do without being intrusive.

Corrado arrived to collect us. He was clearly pleased to see Erin and they chatted in half English, half German. His house was further down the valley in Zelande, a small village. He and Katarina lived in a big house with 2 floors for them and one for his father. From their lovely new kitchen/ dining area there was a beautiful view to the south of the next set ...

A morning shower (cos we could!) and straight back to the police station in Sondrio to sort out Lis' working holiday visa. It took a while, but she got it! Great success! We headed back towards Bormio and stopped at Tirano. After a quick lunch we went for a cruise on the bikes. It's warm today! We rode past many apple orchards (we may have taken a couple; for quality control purposes, of course!), vineyards, fig and nectarine trees, and up some very steep roads! ...

After dinner we cruised a couple of km down the road to a cute little town amongst the ...

Early start this morning, walked round the corner to the rental car company and collected our Fiat 500 for our drive over the Stelvio pass. The little Fiat drives very well and raced along the autostrada at 110 with everyone else. We had about a 100km drive through the rich orchard area of the South Tirol to get to the pass. Lots of people heading towards the pass including plenty on motor cycles. At last we reach the start and begin the climb. The road is quite narrow in ...

... jumped on the bikes and rode up to Bormio 2000. A nice climb with lovely views. We took the long road back to the van. A nice 45km ride. After a long, hot, enjoyable shower we wandered into Valdidentro to find something for dinner. We stumbled across a cute restaurant/hotel called La Val. A small menu and very lovely staff. ...
