A day of cold and hot
... I was taking no chances at racing around the wonderful sweeping bends as you never know if there is a snow drift or ice on the road.
The road soon became extremely windy and twisty and soon I was heading up a pass. The last 20 or so miles had been in trees and bush with not much to be seen and the temp was now up to 7 Celsius. However that high temp was not going to last and as the road got higher it got colder.

What a journey
Left castelrotto bus to Bolzano, showery only so good for travel. Bolzano by train to merano then train to mals. This was a 2carriage train massive windows even bigger than normal regional trains. Beautiful country looking at forts, castles, snow, alps. Then postal bus from mals to zermez Switzerland. It is known for travelling through 3countries over high mountains then into valley. After a pleasant sleep and hearing the rain stop early in the night we ambled out of our tent to blue skies! Rhys now in an instant good mood we packed up camp, leaving the tent till last as it was still very wet.
