... is only one more day until we have to go :( Sad!!!!!

As usual when I travel anywhere that is meant to be cold, the weather hasn't been too bad. There have been a few cold days and nights, today it poured with rain and the Christmas markets were even closed until lunch time because of the terrible winds. No snow!

If only we could stay longer!!!! ...

After a restful nights sleep with no trains waking us we woke up fresh ready for more fun. We set off to take a look at Neil's old Army camp in Gutersloh and then on to Osnabruck to see where I used to live. We spent the morning after 2 hours of bus ride to Bremen. Nice breakfast at the hotel. Bremen has the famous 4 animals from the Grimm. The route to the restaurant was pretty, with colorful little houses.

We also went to Hameln to see the famous rat catcher. On the road were some rat marks. It was a small town. Many rat souvenir.

Germans are so used to the rain, that most of them don't bother with goulashes to cover their shoes or rain pants. They simply use an umbrella. Most Germans don't wear bike helmets, as it would almost be impossible to enforce. Biking is a major way of transportation in Bremen. The University was built on the outskirts of town about 20 years ago.

Upon first arrival there wasn't much that stood out to us. Most buildings ...

Washing day yeah! Today's highlight is to get our washing done so that we have clean clothes for the Africa trip. It's been nearly three weeks away so even with hand washing it is time to come clean. We have driven to Bremen and have found a laundromat within 300 m. That is the only good thing about the hotel. It is a Wyndham hotel and that is why we picked it. Will have to talk to Drew when we get home. Tonight we will go into Bremen for ...
