Hotel in need of renovation, but great location

You could not ask for a better-located hotel in Prizren. However, you could certainly ask for a few other improvements - like light in the bathroom and perhaps more soundproofing between rooms! But this is one of the best hotels in the city, so perhaps the demand is so great that they don't want to stop operating long enough to fix what ails the place. I found the staff responsive whenever there was a problem (and there were a few). I can live with the problems for one night, especially considering the great location.

We wend our way over the gorgeous mountains from Skopje in Macedonia to Prizren in Kosovo, cashing in our Macedonian Denars for Euros. The scenery is stunning, and we are delighted to reach our hotel on the Bistrica River and find that the city is teeming with young people. It is one of the most lively cities we have visited on the tour, and lunch …

Located in southwestern Kosovo and with about 180,000
people, Prizren is the country’s second largest city but also its most historic

Ottoman Turks Prizren was the most significant Albanian city and the center of
an early independence movement in the 1870s and 1880s. At that time it was the
center of the Prizren League seeking an independent Albania. The reconstruction

As it later turned out, one of them acted as a guide and came with us in the ferry, introducing the area and explaining the history of the lake. We were even given a leaflet in Albanian and English about the ferry ride.
The bar had been turned into a restaurant and there was a new souvenir shop, too.

First on today's agenda is an apology for being totally MIA for the past thousand weeks. Would you believe me if I said its been crazy busy? Do because its totally utterly true!

Now, let me begin with a list of excuses:
    1. I was having a too great time to actually write anything.
    2. My boyfriend came over from Aus.
    3. My laptop has died and is totally unsalvagable by a person of my technological abilities (writting this on an ipod, forgive the spelling!)

... just take in all the scenery without feeling the need to push any buttons. A different day, a different sky, still stunningly beautiful.
